SWIMMING.
TO-NIGHT’S CARNIVAL. The first swimming ra-mval hel i this season by the Ha wen Amateur Swimming Cluo will take place tins evening. A good novelty programme has been arranged and should prove most interesting. Norman Dowsett, from Wanganui, will be’ competing against the best of the local swimmers, who are certain to make good races. HAWERA’S POLO TEAM. The following will represent the Hawera polo team at to-night’s carnival: Claringbold, Mahoney, Grant, Dalgleish, Laing, Dawdle, Blundell. Emergencies : Davenport and Insull.
