Every entry was very carefully examined. The judges congratulate Miss Thompson on her win, for besides Reing word perfect and neat, her’s was the first envelope received. Mr Cullinane’s entry was also word perfect, but his printing was not so neatly done. His was ‘the last solution sent in, making the rather notable coincidence that the first and last to be received should be tlie on.lv two correct solutions. Miss Ball, although she made one slip, set her answers out in such a manner that the judges could not help but place her next'. The remainder of the prizewinners had from one to three errors. The most frequent errors were in No. 5 (across) “stet,” No. 3 (down) “quality,” No. 37 (down) “shust.” The prizes will be either posted or delivered within the next few days, and the promoters of the competition trust that each prize-winner will be pleased with his or her box of Ganongs Bros. “Gift of Gladness” Chocolates.
