Nelson in its innings put up 462. Leaping Marlborough 343 in .arrears. At the luncheon adjournment the visitors had lost -three wickets, for 13 runs. Alibe r lunch the ten m was all dispose-;! of for 50 runs, Pea.rpoint (14) being the only double figure scorer. Lines took seven wickets for 32 rums, Newman two for 10, and Searle one for none.
