TRIP TO THE BEACH.

AN ENJOYABLE OUTING'; A motor run to Opunake, organised by the Taranaki Motor Traders’ Association and the South Taranaki Automobile Association, was successfully conducted yesterday and provided an enjoyable outing for about 60 boys from the Eltham Boys’ Home, and nurses and convalescent patients from the Hawera and Stratford hospitals. The boys were conveyed by members of the Motor Traders’ Association, and left the Home in the morning, being entertained to lunch and afternoon tea. Members of the Automobile Association attended to the conveyance of the Hawera nurses and convalescent patients, and joined the party at the beach at 2.30 p.m., while Stratford members of the association arrived at about tlie same time with nurses and convalescent patients from the Stratford hospital. During the afternoon races and a treasure hunt were held on the beach, and the boys gave an exhibition of physical drill.
