HEAVY DAMAGES CLAIMED. WALSH AND JOHNSON ISSUE WRITS. BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY, Dec. 14. As a sequel to the High Court judgment in the deportation cases, writs have been issued on behalf of _ loin Walsh and Jacob Johnson claiming £20.000 each for wrongful nriest and imprisonment. The defendants are the Commonwealth, the Federal Premier (Mr S. M. Bruce) and Mr Cates (head ot tb 0 Commonwes 1 1th Police Force). Writs have also been issued on behalf of the wives of Walsh and Johnson, claiming £SOOO cash. The latter base their claims on the loss of service of their husbands, also because of pain and suffering.
