CHARGE AGAINST A YOUTH

A the Police Court a youth, named Rupert George Bell, was charged with breaking and entering the shop of Watson Bros., Ltd., in the day time and stealing articles and cigarettes. As both the town clerk and the engineer have resigned, and several other officers are due to retire shortly, it was thought that tine would be an excellent opportunity for a change. My. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 11. At the inquest on Rita Louise Roach, aged 28, who died at the hospital, the doctor stated that death was probably result of an illegal operation. The coroner adjourned the inquiry in order to ascertain whether the deceased made a statement to the nurse in the ward before she died.
