Reza Ivhan, the temporary ruler of Persia, opened with royal state the new constituent assembly, which he reminded the House had been elected by the whole nation after the deposition of the Kajar dynasty. The Mejliss had given him temporary rule, but the Assembly was committed to the duty of appointing a final permanent ruler. Reza Khan left at the conclusion of his speech and the Asesmibly proceedd to official business. —Reuter.
