ANNUAL MEETING AT TTAWERA. The annual- meeting of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the Methodist Bible Class room on Thursday, a large number of members being present. Mrs Reid occupied the chair. A letter of thanks for help during the election, was received from the president, of the, N.Z. Alliance. . It was decided to send a letter of sympathy to the relatives of the late Rev. 0. Blundell. An excellent report was presented by Miss King, acting secretary, showing the work done during the year. Reports from other .branches of the organisation, were read, all members displaying a very optimistic spiritElection of officers took place, as- follows-: President, Mrs Exley; vicepre si dents-, Mrs Reed and Mrs Bone; secretary. Miss King. The following were re-eiected: Mrs Ashton, treasurer; Mrs Bishoff, C.R. superintendent; Mrs Hulbert, W.R. agen,t-; Mrs Squire, reporter; literature, department, Mrs Hurrell; evangelistic superintendent, Mrs Hill.
