RIFLE SHOOTING.
KAPONGA CLUB. ACTJA'ITI ES RE-COMMENCED. About 20 members of the Kaponga Defence Rifle C’ub assembled at the club’s range on the Palmer Road yesterday afternoon on the occasion of the opening shoot, which will mark the recommencement of the club’s activities. Though fine weather ruled, a strong varying wind militated against good shooting. Despite this handicap, however. some fair averagese were compiled. The cards of the six 'ending shots of the day, firing from the 300, 500 and 600 yards mounds were as follow (the possible in each instance being 35. with a t-otal of 105) :
