Lloyd George, speaking at a Liberal dinner at the House of Commons, proposing the health of the ElatL oil Oxford, said : “It I am the obstacle to Liberal unity, I am prepared to withdraw. I do not want to be the cause of the Liberal parity failing to get together.” The Earl of Oxford said that there was no reason why anyone should contemplate a withdrawal.
