NOW ALIVE.

PROBATE COURT SURPRISE. LONDON, Nov. 19. Following the Probate Court’s ruling, presuming the death in 1916 of the actor Arthur Yates, a son of the late editor of the World, and grandson of the famous comedian, a friend appeared in court stating that he had received a communication from Yates a fortnight ago. Yates is entitled to £3OOO under his mother’s will. Lord Merrivale remarked that he believed that was the first time a person legally presumed to be dead was credibly reported alive.
