A seven-roomed house on the 1 ower Normanby 'Road, owned by Mr Id. Sutton and occupied by Mr A. O’Connor, was destroyed by fire, at 7.b0 o’cock this morning (reports cur Manaia correspondent). The, outbreak occur-oil in a front room, and the occupants were out of the house at the time. The origin of t-fie fire i R a mystery. 'With, the exception of a few articles of furniture, nothing was saved. The house was insured, but the amount had not been ascertained. It was not known whether the furniture was covered by a policy.
