UNHAPPY CHINA

ANOTHER REVOLT. FIGHTING NEAR MUKDEN. WAR LORDS DISAGREE. ar CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT PEKING, Nov. 25. It is reported from Mukden that General Kuo-Sung-Ling, stationed at Luan-Chow, revolted against Chang-Tso-Lin. General Chang-Tso-Hsiang has been sent from Shanliaikuan to suppress him, but Kuo-Sung-Ling’s troops are reported to have defeated him. Kuo-Sung-Ling is now stated to be advancing on Mukden at the head of four divisions. From the mass of rumours there seems no doubt that a serious revolt has broken out among the Mukden troops, who are fighting each other at Laun-Chow, Chin- Wang-Tao, and elsewhere along the Pekin-Mukdeu railway. It is claimed in some quarters that Kuo-Sung-Ling lias captured Mukden and made Chang-Tso-Lin prisoner, but other reports state that the troops loyal to Chang-Tso-Lin have broken the railway at Ching-Wang-Tao in order to hinder Kuo-Sung-Ling’s advance on Mukden, Cliih-Li, and Tupan. Li-Ching-Ling is preparing to declare the independence of Mukden, and is also drafting a telegram urging Chang-Tso-Lin to retire. There is no' doubt that the Mukden party lias collapsed, at least temporarily, thus immensely strengthening the Feng-Yuh-Sian Cabinet. Changes are considered imminent. It is expected that all the Anfuites and Mukdenites will be forced to resign and a Kuo-Min-Chun Cabinet installed
