FOLLOW TERRIBLE GALES IN BRITAIN. SIXTEEN MEN DROWNED. BY CABLE •-PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT LONDON, Nov. 25. Terrible north-easterly gales struck the east coast, accompanied by heavy falls of snow. A Scottish drifter foundered at Flamborough Head. A lifeboat was launched, but failed to save the eight men on board.

Eight others were drowned at Redcar, where a small motor-ship was driven on the rocks in sight of a big crowd on shore. Numerous other casualties are reported.
