South Australia in the first innings of the cricket match against West Australia made 301. for nine wickets and declared (Pritchard 167, Riely 4o). Buttsworth took three wickets for 86 and Renfrov three for 47. West Australia in the second innings made 150. South Australia in the second innings made 32 for the lees of one wicket, and won by nine wickets. CANTERBURY MATCH. Advice has been received by Mr J. Neilsen, the lion, secretary of the Taranaki Association, that Canterbury suggests January 13 and 14 as the dates- for the match against Taranaki in New Plymouth. The team will leave Auckland on January 12. The question will he considered at a. meeting of the association executive on Friday. HAWKE CUP MATCH. The Wanganui team to play at Hawera on Friday and Saturday wall reach here on Thursday evening.
