OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT. CARLTON MAX AND “BACKBONE” CHANGE OF PROGRAMME. A complete change of pictures and vaudeville will be presented at the Opera House to-night. Mr. Carlton Max presents an entirely new act entitled “The Cross Country Jockey,” which keeps the audience in roars of laughter during the twenty-live minutes he occupies the stage. This act will be presented together with the Goldwyn picture, “Backbone.” This deals with the fulfilment in the twentieth century, in Northern Maine, of a love story of two young persons who lived hundreds of years ago in France. Alfred Lunt, famous stage star, makes his stellar debut, as co-star with Edith Roberts. GRAND THEATRE —TO-NIGHT. “THE MAN IN BLUE.”. “The Man in Blue,” to be screened at the Grand Theatre to-night, tells a etory understood to be founded bn an actual happening. It is the love story of an Irish policeman and an Italian flower girl. Two good comedies will also be presented with this feature.
