POLAR EXPEDITION
FRENCH PLANS. UNEXPLORED REGION. TO BE SEARCHED FOR LAND. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT(Received Nov. 19, 10 a.m.) PARIS, Nov. IS. Plans are being prepared for a Polar expedition by French naval officers, under Government auspices, starting for Spitzbergen in June. The principal object of the expedition, which will be travelling in six specially constructed amphibious motor vehicles, is to cross the great unexplored region between the North Pole and Point Barrow, Alaska, and to find whether land exists therein. —Sydney Sun Cable.
