Results : Hurdles. —Axle (Butler) 1, Suspicion 2, Mixed Heather 3. Scratched : Lady Gay, The Emperor, Peter Rosa, Velvet King, Bestir, Blue Star, Yan Yean. Merry Queen lost her rider. Won by half a neck. Time ,2-49 2-5, Maiden (first* division). —-Break o Day (B. H. Morris) 1, Desert Knight 2, France 3. Scratched: Te Kawana, Earl of Ashlea, Capitulation, Royal Land, Rouns. Won by half a length, three lengths between second and third. Time, 1.2 2-5. Maiden (second division). —Sleet (R. J. Ma.ckie) 1, Lam pyre 2, Benzora 3. Won by a length, same distance separating second and third. Time, 1.1 2-5. Pohangina Handicap.—Miss Hupana. (Cotter) 1, Oivilform 2, Shut Eye 3. Scratched: Rose of Athens. Won hy two lengths, one length between second and third. Time, 1.15 1-5. Kamako Hack. —Demure (Mitchell) 1, Lin Arlington 2, Catcall 3. Scratched : Ben Nevis and Boy. Won by two lengths, a neck between second and third. Time. 1.29 2-5. Ashhurst Cnp.—Waetea (R. Reed) 1, Tari 2, Imperial Spark 3. All started. Won by a length, one length between second and third. Time, 2.8 2-5.
