FASHION IN GLASS.
WONDER CTRL CLASS BLOWER. The “Wonder Girl Glass Blower” is the name which is given to Miss Mae Kingsley on account of her knowledge and natural aptitude in the art of glass-blowing. It is just six years since Miss Kingsley left her home in Sydney to commence studies in the technical art of glass-making, and after spending most of the time in the laboratories of famous glass-mak-ers, she was secured by Westwood Bros, for a limited tour of the Dominion, and Hawera is now to have the pleasure of seeing her in unique exhibitions of her art at- the A. and P. Show, where she will; give her demonstrations in conjunction with the- American G!as s Works. Among the many articles that will be seen made' are kiwis, kangaroos, large vases, sailing ships with outspreading sails, wine glasses, beautiful swans, old Dutch smoking pines, magnifying glasses, native animals and birds. But her latestachievement is a large model of the Sydney harbour bridge, which contains over 1.50 miles of spun glass and took many weeks to build. The Wonder Girl’s exhibition is highly educational and most entertaining, and the articles she makes are works of art. This will be a unique opportunity to see the I Wonder Girl at work.
