REVISION WANTED. LETTERS TO THE PRIME MINISTER. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. The New Zealand Licensing Reform Association has written to the Prime Minister requesting him to take early steps towards the fulfilment of a promise given before the election (on August 7) that, if returned to power, licensing legislation would he introduced next session. Mr. (bates, in reply, says that lie will bo glad to give the association’s representations careful consideration when licensing legislation is next under review. This did not meet the association’s views, and it wrote again maintaining that the question was of the first importance and should be made the subject of special consideration by Cabinet at the earliest moment.
