UNION OFFICIALS DEPOSED. EMBARGO AT BOWEN LIFTED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION- -CO-PYRIGHI Received,Nov. 14, 11.40 a.m SYDNEY, Nov.'l4. With the end of the shipping strike in sight, an increasing restiveness is manifest among the strikers, and a more general return to the ships is indicated.
BRISBANE, Nov. 14. Following the Bowen watersiders declaring the port black, a meeting of watersiders passed a resolution of noconfidence in the officials of the union and elected others in their stead.
Subsequently, at a conference between the watersiders and farmers, the former agreed to return to work and lift the “black” embargo on the port.
