Tb© weekly meeting of the Hawera Rotary Club was held to-day, the president,(Dr. W. M. Thomson) in the chair. It was announced that next week the governor of the New Zealand District Rotary International would visit the Havera Cluh. The speaker of the day was Rotarian E. K. Cameron, who gave a thoughtfu laddress on “Boys’ Work,” wfych was much appreciated. The soloisj of the day was Rotarian W. S. Gibson. Mr. L. Mcllvride (Labour ex-M.P. for Napier) has received a telegram ;rom the Hon. J. G. Coates, offering ■him reinstatement in the Napier railway workshops. “I will not make my decision until after the final count,” said Mr Mcllvride to a pressman, “but Mr,. Coates has been most gener. ous in the matter."
