Seamen continue to return to their ships; despite misleading reports' regarding the position in other States, which are in circulation with the object of persuading the men to hold out until next week. TJie hope of a Labour victory is giving encouragement to the loaders to'> prolong the strike. ! Shipowners state that there are no fnen on strike at Brisbane or Adelaide, and the only men remaining at those ports are deserters, whose places have been filled and who therefore cannot be bn strike. The Port Hardy sails to-day. Those of its crew who struck at Brisbane have signified their desire' to return and were brought to Sydney by rail to rejoin the ship.
