OHINEMURI POSITION CLEARED UP. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. The position with regard to restoration at Ohinemuri has now been clarified to this extent, that it is officially stated that the returning officer will declare the result on the valid votes cast. FINAL WESTLAND RESULT DELAYED. HOKITIKA, Nov. 12. 'ln connection with the Westland election, all absent voters’ papers have not yet come to band. The returning officer expects it will be Friday at midnight, at 'the earliest, before the final results are available. LEADING BY ONE. AND SIX VOTES TO COME. THE LYTTELTON SEAT. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 12. With six absent votes yet to come Mr McCombs (L.) is leading Mr Lyons (G.) by one vote, the figures being: McCombs 4900 Lyons 4899 The absent votes are not expected to arrive until to-morrow.
