A,t the wool isales competition was keen, all sections operating vigorously at values fully in accord with last week’s rates. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. Received Nov. 10, 10.15 a.m SYDNEY, Nov. 10. At the wool sales there was good competition for crossbreds and a strong demand for greasy. Merino sold up to 31 d. BUTTER AND CHEESE GRADED. DECREASED PRODUCTION LAST MONTH. The Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture reports that the salted butter graded for October totalled 6711 tons, and the unsalted 399 tons, compared with 8337 tons salted and 513 tons unsalted a total of 8850 tons for October t ot last year; a decrease of 19.6 per cent. For the three months ended October last the respective quantities were 11,877 tons and 710 tons, a total of 12,587 tons, compared with 14,962 tons and 663 tons; a total of 15,625 tons, for the corresponding period of the preceding season, a decrease of 19.4 per cent. \ The cheese graded for October coniprised: White 4352 tons, coloured 2399 tons, a total, of 6751 tons, compared with 4650 tons white and 2648 tons coloured, a total of 7298 tons for October, 1924, a decrease of 7.5 per cent. The quantities for the three months ended October, 1925, were: White 7088 tons, coloured 3679 tons, a total of 10,767 tons, compared with 6432 ton s white and 3802 tons coloured, a total of 10,234 tons, for the corresponding period of the preceding season, an increase of 5.2 per cent. Converting these figures into butterfat equivalent, there is a decrease of 13.7 per cent, in butter-fat production for the three months as compared with the corresponding period of the 192425 season. Stocks held in the various grading ports at October 31 were: Butter 6699 tons, cheese 8224 tons.
