Received Nov-. 7, 10.55 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 6. •British Labour has taken a further step to form a combine even more numerous than the former triple alliance. The executives of the Miners', the Railwaymen, Transport Locomotive Engineers’ and Firemen, Electric Trades Union, Amalgamated En-o-ineering Union, representing 4,010,000 workers, have agreed t-o a draft constitution for a new alliance, guaranteeing mutual assistance to : (1) Defend the hours and wages standards. , , . . ~ , (2) To promote and defend any vital principle. , . ~ Ai possible hitch is due to the railwaymen’e attitude over the suggestion, that the fusion of allied unions in Hie same trade isliould be 3/ condition or their entering the alliance. At the meeting of executives the representatives rejected the railwaymen’s proP Mr. Thomas intimated that the Railway men s’ union would reconsider its attitude to the proposal.—Sydney bun Gable. .
