A POSY OF PANSIES.
Pansies are Nature’s favourites. They clung about her regal gown, And found themselves in velvet robes Of crimson, purple, gold and brown. The pansies slept upon her heart, And felt her thoughts of love and grace And every little pansy wears A look of wonder in her face. The pansies cannot tell their thoughts, But they are very, very wise, With wisdom such as lurks beneath 'The solemn deeps of babies’ eyes. —Doris Canham.
