The amended Workers’ Compensation Act wag read for a first time in the Assembly. It provides for £675 to be paid for losing an arm, £6OO for a leg, £525 for a foot, £375 for an eye, and £675 if there were other serious injury. The sum of £6040 is provided for loss of ’ hearing, £225 for loss of thumb, £l5O for a forefinger, £ll2 for other fingers, £9O for a toe, £7s' for a joint of a toe. Where death results from an injury the dependants are toi receive a sum aggregating from £4OO, but not exceeding £BOO. 1
