In the Assembly the Leader of the Opposition called upon the Premier to prevent the formation of a Fascist organisation in Victoria, protesting against the introduction of such a movement in Australia. The Premier replied- that if it could be shown that the Fascists were doing anything illegal prompt steps would be taken;. but if Fascism would prevent the state of affairs recently witnessed in "VVestralia and Queensland, where the Government forces failed to prevent disorder, there would be no objection to it.
