MELBOURNE MOVEMENT. DISCUSSED BY ASSEMBLY. PREMIER’S STATEMENT. BY CABUE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRHIGT. Received Nov. 6. 10.45 a.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 6. In the Assembly the Leader of the Opposition called upon the Premier to prevent the formation of a Fascist organisation in Victoria, protesting against the introduction of such a movement in Australia. The Premier replied- that if it could be shown that the Fascists were doing anything illegal prompt steps would be taken;. but if Fascism would prevent the state of affairs recently witnessed in "VVestralia and Queensland, where the Government forces failed to prevent disorder, there would be no objection to it.
