MANAIA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The hard-up benefit dance Held by the Mannia Municipal Fire Brigade in the Town Hall was a success. The decorations in the hall and supperroom were in the hands of a ladies’ committee, under the • control of Mesdames James Hickey and N. Daris. The music was supplied by Miss Nielson and Messrs D. Gray and C. Abbott. Extras were played by Miss Vine and Messrs J. Daris and E. Snowden. Firemen Rowe and Vincent ably carried out the duties of M.C.s. After paying the expenses the amount raised for ex-Fireman Dee will be about £lB 10s.
