SEASON OFFICIALLY OPENED. In ideal weather the Park Tenuis Club officially opened its 1920-26 season on Saturday afternoon. In the absence of the president (Mr. E A. .Pacev) the vice-president (Mr; H. L. Spratt) delivered a short speech, congratulating the caretaker on the fine appearance of the lawns and expressing the hope that before next year the club "would have its pavilion. During the afternoon a Yankee tournament was . played, 36 players competing. The ladies’ prize, a fruit dish donated by Messrs Bennett and Sutton, was won by Miss Tobeek, while the gentlemen’s prize, a cigarette ash tray donated by til© same firm, wa.s won by Mr. W. Newton. The club is confidently looking iorward to another successful season; its iqembership is strong, and its lawns are in good order. OPENING AT NEW PLYMOUTH. The official opening 'of the New Plymouth Club took place on Saturday. There was a large attendance and much interesting play. The opening ceremony was performed by Dr. G. Home,
