Sir, —Under the above heading the Sunday Times of Glasgow recently to hand, announces that the Whisky Distillers have decided to curtail the output of whisky by 25 per cent., and that ‘ ‘ there is open talk of distilleries having to close down for two or three years ’ ’ because of the surplus stock on hand. In addition, and this is most interesting in face of the fact that the Dewars and Jamieson, of whisky fame, are now in Wellington organising to fight prohibition in New Zealand. This is said: "We must not forget that the consumption is less than one half of what it was before the war, and at the same time it is practically impossible to get whisky into the U.S.A. ” What then about the “ Traffic's" New Zealand statements about the failure of Prohibition in ' U.S.A. This calls their "bluff" with a well and deserved vengeance. Their own mouth condemns them. Vote prohibition. Yours, etc.. ANTI-HUMBUG.
