KEY POSITIONS OF CAPITALISM NATIONALISATION TO BE ' DEMANDED. BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGIir. (Received Oct. 28, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 27. Mr Philip Snowden, speaking at Paisley, said that the next Labour Government would demand the key positions of capitalism, such as ownership of land, raihvays and electric power. Its financial policy w’ould be to raise revenue by the taxation of unearned wealth and to remove taxation from necessaries of life. It seemed most likely that the present Government, if it remained in office for three years longer, would impose a full-blown system of protection. The Labour Party stood solid against protection, hut did not favour imports the production of w'hich involved the degradation of foreign workers. —A. and N.Z. Assn. , '
