TARANAKI CADETS MEETING. ' At the cadet rifle shooting meeting on Saturday at New Flymouth two cadets from No. 15 Company (Hawera) Senior Cadets were successful in carrying off the second and third prizes in the aggregate. One. hundred and fifty senior cadets from the Taranaki Regi-mo-ntal district competed and some good shooting was ddne. The meeting w-ill be continued to-day, although to-day’s matches will be for territorials only. A large number.of Haw-era territorials left early this morning for the range and will compete in the various matches, including teams for the Vickers machinegun competition's. The following are the successful Haw-era cadets in the various matches. Match No. 9. A, application, 25 yds; five rounds, ten seconds per shot. B, snap-shooting; five rounds. Time, four seconds exposure. Possible points, 40. —Cadet C. N. Harrison (15th Company), 35 points 3,12 s (id; Corporal H. J. Barton (15th '’Company), 32 points 6, ss. Match No. 10 (rapid), 25 yards, ten rounds. Time, 50sec. Rifle loaded with five rounds. Possible, 50 points. —Cadet C. N. Harrison, 42 points, 3,12 s 6d; Corporal H. J.
