CORRESPONDENCE.

SUNDAY EVENING CONCERTS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —As the Hawera Borough Council, by refusing to grant a permit for a Sunday evening sacred concert, has caused the cancelling of the visit of the Queen Alexandra Band, and as this decision has evidently been arrived at in consequence of the recent protest made by the -Hawera Ministers’ Association, I would ask yon to publish the objections raised by that body when the matter was previously under discussion, so that the public will have the opportunity of jhdging whether such objections are reasonable. I would draw your readers’ attention to the fact that 8.30 p.m. was the time proposed to commence the concert, this being after church hours. Thanking you in anticipation, —I am, etC ’’ ENQUIRER, Haivera.
