JUNIOR FIXTURES. The junior fixtures for the first round are as follows: — Oct. 24 —Eltham v. Stratford, at Eltham; Tech. A v. Tech. B, at Hawera; Hawera a bye., Oct. 31—Hawera v. Stratford, at Stratford; Tech. A v. Eltham, at Hawera; Tech. B a bye. Nov. 7 —Eltham v. Tech. B, at Eltham; Hawera v. Tech. A, at Hawera; Stratford, a bye. Nov. 14—Tech. A v. Stratford, at Stratford; Hawera v. Tech. B, at Hawera; Eltham a bye. Nov. 21—Stratford v. Tech. B, at Hawera; Hawera v. Eltham, at Eltham; Tech. A a bye. The following members of Hawera B team are requested to be on the ground at 2 p.pi. on Saturday for the purpose of practice and selecting a captain:— Taylor, Vinnicombe, McCarthy, Mahoney, Lewis, Entwigtle, Moloney, Mitchell, Fleming, Weir, Foster. Any other players from last season’s teams intending to play this year are also requested to be present.
SOUTH TARANAKI COMPETITION COMMENCES TO-MORROW. The first round of the South Taranaki senior competitions ' will begin tomorrow afternoon, when there will be matches at Hawera, Okaiawa and Stratford. Excelsior will play Manaia at Hawera, Midlands v. Okaiawa at Okaiawa, ‘ Stratford v. Eltham at Stratford.
