ALGARSON’S EXPEDITION.

SHIP FROZEN IN. EXPLORERS UNDAUNTED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COFYRIGHT. Received Oct. 23, 10.35 a.m. OSLO, Oct. 22. Members of Algarsson’s expedition have arrived at Tromso. Their steamer was frozen into the ice off Franz Josef Land, and was only freed after a great struggle. The propellor was broken, but they managed to make a southward course with the aid of sails until she arrived off Green Harbour, Spitzbergen, where she was taken in tow for Tromso. The expedition found conditions more difficult than they expected. It will be renewed in i92(i.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
