LIQUOR IN AMERICA
(To the Editor.) Sir, Your correspondent ‘‘Onlooker’s” query in yesterday’s iseue, viz., “If liquor be so plentiful in America and easily obtained, what about the poor man we read of who was dying for want of it”? provides its own answer. The answer, of course, is: “Because he was poor!” Prohibition prohibits one section of the community only. —I am, etc., “SPECTATOR.” Hawera, October 22.
