WHAT U.S.A. NEEDS.

MORE LAW - OBSERVANCE. RELIGION THE ONLY REMEDY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. WASHINGTON, Oct. 20. President Coolidge, addressing the annual council of Congregational Churches, said: “More law observance and more religion is needed in this country. Lawlessness is altogether too prevalent, and lack of respect for the Government and conventions of enlightened society are altogether too apparent. “If there are any general failures in the enforcement of the law it is because there have first been failures in the disposition to observe the law. I can conceive of no adequate remedy for the evils which beset society except through the influences of religion.”
