MR. LANG AND THE LEGISLATIVE CUUNCIL. BY CABLE—FBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT. SYDNEY, Oct. 20. In the Assembly, the Premier (Mr. J. T. Lang) has heckled regarding his intentions concerning the Legislative Council, but he declined' to be drawn into making a statement. Speaking at the Country Press Association. conference Mr. Lang said he had no desire to make Legislative Councillors. He held certain political opinions, and while he was leader of the Government he intended to carry them out.. Certain gentlemen had said that he should not, but if the Government was still the greatest power m the land he would achieve his wishes.
