NOT LEANING ON THE STATE, Some readers who see the term “State guarantee” connected with the Public Trust Office may ‘imagine that the • office is financed bv grants from the Government. This .is not so. It is true that the resources of the State are security for the acts of the Public. Trustee, but in the course of long years of careful and economical management reserve funds have been built up which have practi-' cully relieved the Government from any liability under the State guarantee. The; charges for the safe service to the thousands, of beneficiaries are low,: but the huge volume of business enables the office to make profits. Gradually during successive ■ years the reserves built up out of profits have realised a, sum exceeding £605,000. The safety policy of the Public Trust Office applies to itself as well as to its clients. For information apply to C. FREYBERG. OISTRICT PUBLIC TRUSTEE HAWERA.
