FAMILIES IN CAMPS.

LUXURIOUS CARAVANS IN NEW FOREST. The New Forest has this summer been invaded by an army of campers. Their tents and their caravans are in the depths of the woods, on the banks of streams, and on open heaths, where they are able to enjoy to the full the delights of living in the open—without the restriction which beset campers in more confined localities.

Boy Scouts and other enthusiasts have formed small camps where the daily life is carried out on military lines. Whole families are living under canvas, and find it a novel, inexpensive, and healthy holiday. Some of the caravans are luxurious, fitted out with every comfort and with wireless. But the majority of the campers have erected army tents, which can be stowed away when the holiday is over.
