RUGBY.
HICKEY IN FORM. After a season or two off colour, P. Hickey, the ex-Taranaki and New Zealand representative three-quarter, struck his best form in Wellington this year, fully justifying his selection in the provincial side. In a match between the Wellington and Auckland tramways, which Wellington won handsomely, Hickey -was the hero of the day, scoring three tries by side-stepping and swerving his -way through the opposition. At the close of the. game—remembered as Hickey’s match —he was carried shoulder high from the field.
