TRAVEL BY RAIL.

A DAYLIGHT LIMITED. TIME-TABLE COMMENCED. The time-table to come into operation with the inauguration of the Daylight Limited was announced by the Prime Minister (Hon. J. G. Coates) at Wellington on Thursday night.. In. accordance with expressed intention, he said the Daylight Limited express service would be given a trial as from November 15.

The Daylight Limited would leave Wellington at 7.55 a.m. and arrive Auckland 10.49 p.m., leaving Auckland at 7.53 a.m. and reaching Wellington at 11.10 p.m. There will he one additional stop at Te Kuiti. The Night Limited would travel the same as at present. Roth trains would be limited to eight coaches. The ordinary express would be speeded up slightly. At present it left Wellington at 12.45 p.m., and arrived at Auckland at 6.38 a.m. It was proposed that now it should leave Wellington at 2 p.m. and arrive at Auckland at 6.41 a.m. Whereas it previously left Auckand at 7.45 p.m., and arrived at Welington at 1.50 p.m., it was proposed that it should leave Auckland at 7.45 p.m. and arrive at Wellington at 12.35 p.m. There would he an additional stop at Otorohanga.
