EXHIBITION ATTRACTIONS.
WONDERFUL AMUSEMENT ZONE
Only three or four times in a century do New Zealanders have the chance of enjoying such unique pleasure as are being prepared for them in the magnificent amusement /.one of 25 acres at the New Zealand and South Seas International Exhibition which will be opened in Dunedin by the GovernorGeneral on November 17. Once every minute a train will be despatched round the wonderful scenic railway on which the builders have been busy for many weeks, and what delighted screams will be heard in the Park as the passengers hurtle over the steep dips with barely time for a breath between them. There are 150,000 feet, of timber in this magnificent railway. After coming off the railway visitors can cool off before going for another ride, as they are sure to want to do by trying the" water ride underneath it. Striking scenes burst on the delighted passengers in the boats who come suddenly on cannibals preparing for a toast or some other surprise. There are dozens of other sensations such as the
‘•‘Whip,” the "Caterpillar,” the "Fun Factory” and "Dodge ’em,” which are all real thrillers. ' But the amusement zone, of course, is only one side of the Exhibition, j There will be wonderful exhibits and displays from all over tin* world in the huge pavilions —the finest motor Olympia ever semi in the Southern Hemisphere, magnificent art and statutory from Europe and gorgeous entertainments in the great Festival Hall headed by the renowned Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders’ Military Sand. The band is a star attraction in the world's capitals;. it has been in existence for over a hundred years and it is being brought out at enormous cost.
