The Government is taking drastic action to frustrate the Communists’ strike. It has mobilised largo forces of troops and police, who are garrisoning power .stations, gas works, reservoirs •and posit offices in Paris. The Government brought to Paris a detachment of naval mechanics to ensure transport services. It is not likely that ilie railwaymen will strike. —Sydney Sun Cable,
