THE LATE MR BRAMLEY.
A NOTED LABOUR LEADER. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Oct. 12, 10.35 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 12. Mr. Fred Bramley, whose death was reported from Amsterdam, felt unwell on his arrival at Amsterdam. He nearly fainted several times, hut insisted on carrying on. His colleagues looked into his bedroom at midnight ami saw Mr. Bramley apparently sleeping. Later they discovered he was dead from heart failure.
Newspapers and Labour leaders pay a tribute to the late leader, pointing out that he was one of the soundest Labourites, and a strong opponent of unofficial strikes, which he described as a menace to trade unionism, and threatening the end of collective bargaining. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
