A burglary was committed at the Somerset sample rooms at Ashburton on Wednesday, wearing apparel, mostly women’s wear, to the value of £4O or £SO being stolen. The property consisted of samples belonging to the Ivaiapoi Woollen Co. As there is no indication how entry was effected, it is surmised a duplicate key was used. Church anniversary service will be held in the Nonmanby Methodist Church next Sunday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The preacher for the day will ne the Rev. A. Blackmore, of Kaponga. The anniversary social! will be held on Monday in the Town Hall. A gymnastic. display will be given by the memibens of the Hawera Methodist Boys’ Club, and refreshments will be served at the close of the concert. C. C.
