PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mr. J. T. Petrie, formerly of Greymouth, and recently a, member of the Otago Daily Times staff, lias been appointed; managing editor of the Stratford Post, states a southern exchange. Mr. J. Dakers, chairman of the Manaia School Committee, has been elect* ed president of the School Committees Association, and Mr. W. H. R. Spooner, also of the Manaia School Committee, secretary of the same association.
