The. report of tlic Liberals’ Land Committee, over wliicb Mr Lloyd George has presided for the past two years; has been published in hook form. It emphasises that more people are unemployed than are engaged, dn agriculture. Drastic and determined action is necessary to- secure reforms ensuring to the workers on the land a proper wage and opportunities" of advancement. The report declares that the State must exercise its: right and full functions as regards agricultural land in order to secure the best possible conditions and tenure, and so assist in its full development. The, report details a new policy of cultivating tenure, which it describes as drastic, and in a sensei revolutionary, closely resembling the conditions in Denmark. —Reuter.
